Propaganda techniques
-The logo of the body shop is used, you already know this, so it activates prior knowledge.
-Slogan, kind of 'choose fair' is not a real slogan, but it does work on you emotions...

Language use
-Naming- the 'community trade', looks like a well considered choice, 'good for the world & good for you', this also plays on you emotions, because you can feel guilty because of exploitation, and they make good use of this.

Graphics
-The rule of thirds is used, the hans with the fruit is on the bottom, and the 'choose fair' is more at the top, this makes the whole composition look better.
-Colours, Yes, the bright colour red is used,, it attracts your attention.
-Background, The background has the same colour and pattern as the hands on the foreground, this makes it look not too busy, but keeps it attractive.
-Images, The image, the hand full of berries looks very 'safe' and protected.
-Lighting, the image of the hands is the lightest part of this advertisement, this makes is pop out even more.

Poetry: learned so far on WW1

I think we learned quite a lot about poetry when analyzing WW1 poetry, in these kind of poems, many different themes were discussed, many stylistic devices are used, the tone can differ from bitter to proud and the meanings of the poems were very different as well.

To me personally, the difference in tone really striked me. For example in 'disabled' the tone is very dark and not very happy, in 'the soldier', some kind of proud feeling is involved as well. in 'Dulce et decorum est', which literally means 'its a good an honourable thing to die for your country' the tone of the poem expresses the title of the poem very well.
